MAC makeup haul

I went to MAC. Things were bought. Yeh.

Hello there beautiful!

If you didn't know, I love makeup. I love everything about it. So when I buy new makeup, I get very excited about it. I already have a few things from MAC, and I really like all of them. For a while now, I have been planning a MAC visit, so I pretty much knew what I wanted to buy, I just decided on which colours I wanted and then I was on my way!

(If only it were that simple, If you are planning on going to a MAC counter, particularity in a big department store like Selfridges, be aware that you will be there for a while. When I was there I had to wait a wile to be helped as it was very busy, so its best to pick up everything you want to the assistants can just go and get them for you and you can happily run off into the sunset with your new MAC purchases!)

The first thing I picked up was the Prep and Prime Fix+. This is a skin primer and setting spray all rolled into one. I use this before I put my primer on, after my foundation and concealer, and when I have finished all of my makeup. It really helps everything to stay in place, swell as keeping my skin looking healthy and refreshed. It sprays as a very fine mist, and it smells really good, so overall, I love this product!

The next thing I got my hands on was the blush in Modern Mandarin. I haven't really heard much about this shade, and to be totally honest, I didn't intend on muting this one.
Originally, I wanted to her Peaches, but as I was looking through all the blushes, this one really caught my eye. I have been looking for a really peachy orange blush, and this is perfect.
Although it may look a little scary in the pan, it gives a beautiful wash of true peach to the cheeks. Not pinky peach. Peach. I love it. It gives me a really fresh and radiant complexion, and because it isn't a shimmery blush, or totally matte, it looks really natural on the cheeks.

Lastly, I indulged my temptations and made a new duo palette. The colours I chose are Coppering and Jest.

Coppering is just the most beautiful copper eyeshadow I have ever seen. Ive seen coppery-browns, and coppery-purples, but never really a true copper. I think this will look beautiful against my light blue eyes, and will really make them pop. I think these kind of earthy, warm, coppery tones look beautiful on any eye colour, and on any complexion. I will probably mostly wear this quite messily around my eyes, with a light gold highlight in the inner corners, and a brown liner smudged along my lash line.

The other colour Jest is a really pretty pale pinky gold. I think this is like All That Glitters, but paler an less shimmery. I think this will make a stunning highlight, as well as a really pretty all over the lid colour, especially on minimal makeup days.

I hope you have found this haul interesting, and if you want to know anything more about the products, or how I use them, just leave me a comment :)

Thankyou for spending a bit of time with me, and I will speak to you soon.

Love, Rachel x
