Happy Sunday!
Today I wanted to share with you some of the makeup products that just make me feel like spring has finally sprung (even if it is still cold and grey outside...). For me, warm peachy colours really help to brighten up my dull winter complexion, so I've got plenty featured in this post.
First I've got to mention one of my newest spring must haves (I literally bought this yesterday, but I love it that much. Seriously, it's amazing) which is the Burt's Bees' Hibiscus Tinted Lip Balm. It has th same nourishing formula as their other lip balms, but it has a lovely natural warm pink tint. Unlike some tinted lip balms, the colour is true to the bullet and lasts really well. The cold winter weather really dries out my lips, so I love using a product like this which gives me the colour I want, but also takes care of my poor chapped lips.
Another lip essential for spring is a good peach or coral lipstick. I'm a lipstick gal, but a gloss could work better for you (if you have magical hair that doesn't get stuck in lipgloss). This Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Colour in Soft Coral is great as it isn't too matte, so it's comfortable and long lasting, with ought being too shiny and glossy. I think these warm tones really help to brighten up your face and give a more natural look, rather than deep berry and red shades that I love sporting throughout the autumn and winter months.
Onto the eyes! Lately I've been liking glowy skin, peachy coraly lips and simple eyes, to tie everything all together. A simple flick of black eyeliner is the perfect addition to any spring makeup look and this one from Soap and Glory is really good. Que story time: after my beloved Stila Stay All Day Waterproof eyeliner dried up, I looked around boots for something to tide me over until I could order another one. I had heard that the Soap and Glory Supercat liner was good so I gave it a go. LO AND BEHOLD! I actually really like it. It's not the same, but it's a really great drugstore alternative. This paired with a lengthening and defining mascara and the eyes are done! I got a sample of the new Benefit Roller Lash mascara, and I have totally fallen for it. It makes my lashes really long and separated, but I can also build it up for more volume. The wand makes it really easy to coat every single lash, so I get a full lashed finish. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
As for the rest of my face, a good peach blush helps to give my cheeks a fresh and healthy glow. This duo from Kiko is great as it is compact, but the blushes are a really good size. Plus it has a big mirror - a handbag essential!
I love a good bit of highlight to add radiance to my face, and this Mineralized Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle by MAC creates a golden glow, perfect for a warm spring ready complexion.
Well that's all from me today, I hope you found this helpful and gets you all ready for spring.
Love, Rachel x

Sunday Night Get Unready With Me - Skincare Edition
Hello,
There is nothing more I love than a lovely relaxing Sunday night in. A Sunday evening for me is the perfect time to pamper myself and get ready for the week head.
As much as I love a full on pamper session, with a big Lush bubble bath, painting my nails, using pretty much all of the skincare products I own, sometimes, I just want to take my makeup of, light a few candles, and sit in bed.

First things first, I gotta get that eye makeup off. My favourite thing to use for this is the Garneir Express 2 in 1 Eye Makeup Remover. I love this because it has a layer of oil, which really gets off any stubborn bits of mascara, without having to scrub at my eyes.
To remove the rest of my face makeup, I use the Origins Clean Energy Gentle Cleansing Oil. This just dissolves all of my makeup, and then with a damp flannel, I just wipe it all away.

Lately, I have been really into the Sanctuary Spa skincare range (available from Boots). I particularity like this face wash because it leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean, but not stripped.
Now, as its a Sunday night, I like to treat myself to a face mask. Tonight I have gone for the Sanctuary Spa Time Reversal Face Mask. This is a great one for thirsty or dull skin. My face just feels revived after using this mask, which can never be a bad thing. It is currently on my face now, and I have to say, it feels hella good.
After I have rinsed my face with warm water (girls gotta open them pores up), I apply moisturiser and eye cream. Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentre is where its AT. It is rich enough to really nourish my skin, but not so heavy that my face feels greasy. Perfection in a bottle! (well a tube really...). For eye cream I have been using the Sanctuary Spa Brightening Eye Gel, which is nice and soothing on the eyes, but I don't really notice a huge difference when I use it (any eye cream recommendations would be more than welcome!).
Well that's about it from me. I like to keep my Sunday nights nice and chilled, because we all know that Monday is just right there, being all horrible and Monday-ish.
Goodnight (or goodmorning) from me, and I hope to chat with you soon.
Much love, Rachel x
